| Aboyne is a ten minute walk away and has a good range of shops which include a butcher, greengrocer, chemist, post office, supermarket, garage and other general stores There is a community centre in Aboyne which has all the usual modern facilities including a full size swimming pool and a small theatre. Aboyne has a medical centre, a dentist and a cottage hospital, and all contact numbers are displayed within St. Katherines cottage for any emergencies which may arise. There are range of restaurants within walking distance from the cottage and a number of traditional inns and restaurants within a short drive of Aboyne. For the more active, there are many activities available in the immediate area and more information is available from ourselves, of from the local tourist board |
